unless he's signed a contract that noone knows about then he's a free agent |
I didn't know he was free. When it said "enquires about" I assumed it meant enquired about availability.

Leven is a good footballer, but we have a fairly similar player in Harkins and I'm not sure we could carry both in the same team.

I see Leven more in the Eremenko mould (although, along with every other potential signing, not as good). That said, I agree that we couldn't have
both in the same team.
I'd be happy if we went back in for Mark Kerr, especially if Liam Kelly leaves. I think the midfield needs more energy.

I don't want Kerr. I don't think he's good enough, and we shouldn't be signing "ordinary" players in their 30s.

signed a two year deal when he signed for falkirk in June 2010 and can't see any sign of anything else being signed
And im with craigkillie. I don't think we need any "journeymen"

It probably makes sense for Ayr to train locally if they have a squad of local kids.

He's hardly a journeyman at 24! He's signed for Dundee United today anyway.

this is what i was with craig on.
the sentiment of signing ordinary players in their 30s.
perhaps craig was talking about someone else?

I'd be more than happy to see Leven back.
Fowler/Hay and Pasca as holding midfielders, Leven out on the left of a central midfield of three.
New defender and I think we are ready for next season.

Nope, you were right, and I was talking about Kerr. Millar would have been a good signing.

Mark Kerr would be a complete waste of money - appeared to gather a reputation which seemed to be based almost entirely on him being absurdly good in
early versions of Championship Manager, but never even began to live up to the early hype.
As for Peter Leven, always been one of those guys where I never really understood the lingering admiration once he left. Definitely couldn't play in
the same midfield as Harkins, and Harkins offers significantly more than Leven ever did in my opinin.
On sabbatical.

A 100 m sprint between Harkins and Leven would be fun to watch, though!

Was thinking the same, Killie linked with possibly the only Scottish midfield player slower than Harkins exclusive! No thanks, young hungry players
required, leven need not apply.
