Match Recap

Kris Boyd scored twice in three minutes against his former club as Kilmarnock came from behind to defeat Newco.
The visitors opened the scoring in the first half when Declan John converted Josh Windass's cross.
Kilmarnock created a series of second-half chances, hitting the woodwork, before Boyd eventually equalised from Eamonn Brohpy's cross.
He then cleverly diverted Youssouf Mulumbu's long-range shot past Wes Foderingham in the Rangers goal.
The strike secured a third consecutive home win for Kilmarnock, for the first time in almost 10 years.

Recap of the second half battering...
53 mins - Dicker free-kick from right corner flag - Boyd header saved by Foderingham
55 mins - Boyd shot from centre of penalty area, saved by Foderigham's foot

Steve Clarke: "I'm pleased for the players They got what they deserved. We had good control of the first half and were disappointed to go in behind.  Their second half performance was the best since I have got here in terms of keeping pressure on a team.  For a little while it looked like it wouldn't be our afternoon but I don't think anybody in the stadium would grudge us that win.

They played even better in the second half and created lots of chances. Youssouf Mulumbu has been good. Don't forget about the players that were already here. He gave them a lift, he's a high-quality performer and as he said himself, once he gets fit he'll be even better.

We want to get as far away form the bottom of the table as possible. The players will be in tomorrow for a warm down, the ones who weren't involved will work hard. I've given them Christmas off".

Kris Boyd: "It was a great performance from us. From the first whistle. We were in control of the game and Rangers got the first goal against the run of play.

We addressed it at half time. And I thought the second half we dominated. It’s all about confidence.
It’s easy to say everything has changed but it hasn’t.

We have started winning games and have been on the front foot. In football anything can happen.

Yes we were behind but we felt we were the dominant team and inside five minutes we have turned it around. We have shown a great determination to get a result and we have to push on from it".
