09-02-1985 Inverness Thistle (A) Scot Cup

INVERNESS THISTLE 3 KILMARNOCK 0:
(Scottish Cup 3rd-round, 9 February 1985)

In the days before the merger that produced what we all know as Inverness Caley Thistle, a shock that is still regarded as Killie's worst Scottish Cup defeat took place at Kingsmills Park.

Inverness Thistle's performance led to the Highland League side's pitch being littered with blue and white Killie scarves at the full-time whistle after goals from Dave Milroy, Gordon Hay and substitute Brian Fraser gave The Jags a stunning victory against their senior opposition.
