The site started as
The
Killie
Experience website in February of 1999 by Allan at Geocities (as
some of you may remember). In November of 1999 he moved the whole
lot into its own domain at... www.killiefc.com
(Who is Allan Auld HERE)

April 2000 the Last "KTS"
In August 0f 2000, after the Killie
Supporters Association Magazine
KTS was unceremoniously ditched by the member clubs, Allan invited
baz to become a co-publisher of the site, which he gladly accepted.
The site was then signed up to the
Rivals.net network as their Kilmarnock FC
website
as of January 2001, and stayed there and built up a fair sized community
until Rivals decided in their infinite wisdom to pull the plug on their
Scottish sites around May 2002.
There
was no question that killiefc.com just had to continue, so
after one false start with a hosting company who couldn't handle the
amount of traffic generated by the site, we moved to our current host
and a dedicated server so that we would never suffer from web space or
bandwidth problems again. Our hosts actually run the FBI's website and
the building is
surrounded by a moat, guard dogs, security officers and
barbed wire fences...still, that never stopped work men cutting through
the cables recently!
Since leaving
the Rivals network in May
2002 we are happy to report that instead of our numbers falling with the
loss of opposition fans 'hits" they in fact increased and the average monthly site
'hits" are now 45-50,000
monthly during the playing season. In fact they are not
much
worse during the close season now as well as we have over 2,100 +
members subscribed to our message boards and 95% of those are Killie
fans. We had our one millionth unique daily Front Page "hit" in March of
2005, and second million October 20th 2006 and our third million "hit"
on Jan 13th 2008!
Our goal is simply stated to have
"the best Killie fans website on the
net bar none!"
We
also
have a stated policy of being "club friendly".
We
sponsor a Prediction League, various contests, the soon to be renamed Killie IFA team Kickin'
Squirrels, and our own Player of The Year
award (POTY) with associated nights out.
Our 2001 winner was
Craig Dargo
(seen left with baz) and in
2002 the winner was
Alan Mahood.
(seen right with Allan).

For season
2002-03 we decided to sponsor newly signed midfielder
Stevie Fulton. Don't ask if it is "rigged" but "Baggio" went on
to win the site's 2002-03 POTY so were pretty chuffed when Allan
(pictured left) gave him his award after the final game of the season Vs
Celtic at the Park Hotel.
Kris Boyd was the site's Young POTY (pictured right with baz).!
After
our 2003-04 season the site's
members picked Kris Boyd as
their player of the season.
Kris was presented his trophy by Allan on July 24th
2004, in the Howard Arms
after a preseason friendly with A*r, at the site's "day oot" function.
For season
2004-05 we decided to
return to sponsoring a player, and again we went with
a newly signed midfielder
Allan
"Magic" Johnston.
See Baz with "magic's" shirt as presented to him (us)
in May of 2005. (below)
In July of 2005
Killie Chairman Michael Johnson, agreed to answer as
many questions as the Killie fans could come up with, so we created a
forum for him, which is open to members of our forums.

In Mar of 2006
Allan presented Alan Combe with his POTY award for the
2004-05 season (above). Player of the Year recap page is -

In Nov of 2006
We awarded Jamie Fowler for his POTY award for the 2005-06
season. - Player of the Year recap page is -

In
closing thanks for all your support and I'm sure we'll be seeing you at
one of our many functions which have went down fantastically well so far
with all who have been in attendance...

Killie
till we die!.....Allan & baz.
